During the 1950s, before even small cars featured a power-steering, the opinion about the look of a sports-steering-wheel was completely different from today.
Due to high steering-forces, a steering-wheel had to be large enough, non-slip and it had to smoothen shocks from the road as good as possible.
Thus, nearly every Sportscar was fitted with a “Spring-Spoke” steering-wheel. Such a 1950s style “Volant” also decorates a “souped” VW very well.
We found a company who makes such VW suitable wheels in very good quality.
You have the choice between:
